Goals Plans and Hopes
Do you wish secretly that your life was different in some way? We all have friends and colleagues who seem to effortlessly get what they want or have the dream life and job.
But if wishing is all that you do then it’s no surprise that’s all you get. You see in order to get what you want you do have to do some planning.
If the thought of planning sends your head spinning then wait a moment. The kind of planning I am I want you to consider is the type that nlp practitioners like me as their clients to do.
Let your Mind do the Work. Your mind is amazing and can help you achieve goals, realise plans and make hopes come true if you let it.
The secret is to really imagine what it would be like to have a particular goal or plan you have in mind achieved. Use your imagination and see, hear and feel what would be happening. Run it like it was a film but with you in it and once you’ve got the hang of doing that replay it until you’ve got it just right.
Perhaps you want a better job, work or career. Maybe it’s romance and relationships that you’re thinking off. It doesn’t matter the important thing is to get specific in your mind about what you want, how, when, where and with who. Then allow you mind to put it all together in the future.
The next part is were the power of your mind really comes in to play. You now imagine you with the things you want having happened and from the future place you then look back to the you here and now. Stay with this, it’s worth it!
From that future you looking back at this you here and now, consider what it is that you did that helped you get there to where you want to be.
You should find that your mind will start to organise this for you, if you give it the time and space to do it. Get some paper and jot down whatever comes to you so that you can make these things happen.
This really Works. I do this exercise with many of my clients when they get stuck on some issue around a goal or feel that they can’t get what they want. Doing this helps them naturally work out solutions tohallenges or barriers.
Try it - what have you got to lose?
