Attract Business by changing your thinking

Yesterday evening I was guest speaker at a women’s business forum call CandoCanbe. in Kingston Surrey. The women there all run their own businesses as well as very busy family and social lives.
Almost everyone in the audience agreed that although being your own business is rewarding there are times when it’s a drain. Especially when there are a million things on your ‘to do’ list and your head is full of problems to solve.
Getting bogged down in this state of mind has a ripple effect on your business. It’s harder to be optimistic and have the energy to create opportunities and attract business.
Turn your thoughts inside out To get your thinking back on track and supporting you here’s a simple strategy to try. Take a problem and write it down on paper. Once you’ve done this it’s out of your head where it’s been buzzing around taking up your valuable thinking time.
You’ll find doing this forces you to consider it in a different way, usually with less emotion and with more logic. Now that it’s written down, take a little time to consider the problem and then write out what positive solution you would like to have. Avoid writing about what you don’t want, discipline yourself to describe what you positively want.
Now you can either have a break and go do something else, or if the ideas come straight away start writing out the possible solutions and noting what you need to help you get them.
You may discover that you need more information, or some outside expertise.
Train your Thinking to Support You. This simple exercise will help you experience how you can train your thinking so that you solve problems more easily and look for the positive. Don’t just do this once, do it often with all manner of problems, you’ll find you become usefully aware of your style of thinking and whether it’s helpful or not.
If you found this useful you can experience more by coming to my workshops. They are for business women who want to learn ways to reduce stress, manage their thinking so they get more done and enjoy life.
The next date is July 12, location West Byfleet, Nr Woking. Cost £75. Contact me to book your place or find out more
